NFADB is excited to bring a beautiful tactile tribute of deaf-blindness to you. Guido Dettoni, a sculptor from Barcelona, Spain, worked side-by-side with individuals who deaf-blind, their families and professionals to design a tactile representation of deaf-blindness. The result was a sculpture, the Deafblind Shape. The sculpture was designed to be touched and held in hands. The close link between hands and mind is important to the artist and brings a special meaning in this artwork, dedicated to deaf-blindness.
NFADB has a limited supply of DeafBlind Shapes available for a suggested donation of $60. All proceeds go to support the work that NFADB does with families across the country.
