ADVOCACYIn 2017, NFADB formed the Policy, Information, and Education (PIE) Committee to share information about legislative activities impacting families with loved ones who are DeafBlind. The PIE Committee's mission is to provide public support for or make recommendations for particular causes or policies that will benefit the DeafBlind community. The PIE Committee activities include: (1) development of NFADB's first position papers, (2) hosting family chats focused on family advocacy to build a network of family advocates, (3) organizing family advocacy visits to Washington, DC, to advocate for items from our National Advocacy Agenda. |
