International Liaison, Clara Berg
I was born in Uruguay and have lived in NY since 1977. My husband Jake and I have 3 children - Sheldon, Karen and Kenny. Kenny is deaf-blind due to prematurity. With the support of a family service specialist, Kenny has enjoyed working at the only farm in Queens, NY. His daily duties include gathering eggs from the chickens, feeding the rabbits and working in the field with the crops.
I worked as a family specialist for the past 18 years and as a consultant for Hilton Perkins Program, training parents in Latin America, Poland and the U.S. in person centered planning.
I have been with NFADB since it began in 1992, in various capacities. I enjoy my position as the International Liaison which gives me the opportunity to share what's going on in other parts of the world. If you have information you would like to share, please contact me!
